Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of the modern study of the memory of children's eyewitnesses as well as the role of children as victims when in court. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded numerous prizes and grants. She has collaborated with various organizations and government officials across the globe regarding policies and research related to children as victims in the legal system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of a variety of professional organizations, including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as the President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families the Practice and Policy.
