Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress most well-known for her role as Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter, an academic and Peter Silk who was an actor as well as a producer, director, playwright, educator and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching at work and attending practice sessions for plays. Silk made several commercials while she was still in the midst of her childhood. Silk completed her studies at St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. The early stage work she did included two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in November 1999, to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Silk met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's training located in Los Angeles in 2007. In 2009, the couple were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. On April 10 2011 they renewed their vows at a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton following her conversion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with an infant son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May 2016. Silk was nominated in 2009 for Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character in the succubus. Silk was pregnant while filming the final episode of the third season. She announced the pregnancy to the viewers in the Showcase Season Three pre-show special that aired on January 6, 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 to announce that she's ready to go back to her work. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. CNN named Bo's portrayal along with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most popular TV couples ever. E! voted it as the most popular TV couple of 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most watched shows on social media.
