Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American singer and actress. She is best known for her voice of Tiana in The Princess and the Frog The one and only African American Disney princess. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in the year 2011. Rose played Lorrell Robinson, her character in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Noni (born on September 6th, 1972) is a singer as well as an American actress. Most famous for her voice as the voice for Tiana In The Princess and the Frog The first African American Disney princess. Disney Legends named her one of them in 2011. Her name was also honoured for her performance on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006), which was awarded an Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she was the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. She is also known for her performances in theatre particularly in her leading roles as Emmie Thibodeaux, in Caroline or Change, the Broadway production of Caroline or Change (2004) where she received the Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a Musical. She also played Beneatha Younger, who played A Raisin in the Sun, the Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2014) in which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured actress in a play.
